Aretao brings national and international experience grounded in a values-driven approach to the design, implementation and administration of innovative and sustainable technology transfer and knowledge management projects. Our mission is to use our knowledge and experience to work with organizations that share out values to help them achieve their goals.

Aretao’s consultants have experience helping local, national and international organizations in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Their New Hampshire experience includes planning and implementation of public works (e.g., energy efficiency; landfill closures/ transfer station design), business development (e.g., intranet design and deployment; workforce training; start-up planning and implementation) and community-wide housing rehabilitation projects.

Their international experience includes planning activities for a national health initiative in Moldova, business development in Ukraine, and they even have an Aretao team member who has served as a Fulbright Scholar. Our vision is to have successful projects and thriving organizations around the world that we can point to and proudly say, "We helped make that happen!"

Our Name

Aretao is a word of classical Greek origin. It means to strive for excellence through self-improvement. Both its meaning and its origin are significant to us.

Its origin is significant because Greece is widely recognized as the birthplace of democracy. There are few ideas in the history of the world that are as important to who we are as humans, and who we can become, as is self-government. Self-government is a necessary precondition for liberty, and therefore is a vital condition in which individuals can nurture their abilities to reach their greatest potential.

Its meaning is significant because Aretao represents our efforts to strive for excellence ourselves and how we assist our customers, through the technology transfer process and knowledge management, to move toward excellence as well.
